Explore the Teacher’s Module of Plexler

First, you should know where you stand within the Plexler ecosystem.

There are mainly three parties in this AI-powered e-learning platform: admins, students, and teachers.

Plexler offers several modules, and the Teacher Module is one of them.

The Teacher Module has a profile section at the top.

Then we have the AI Tools section, which offers more than 10 AI tools, although only seven of them are currently functional. My Content is another section, which basically acts as a log of the content created or added to the system. Then there’s the Students and Assessment section, which helps teachers interact with students and manage their assessments.

There are also a few other sections at the bottom that we’ll go through later.

Teacher Profile

Teacher Profile is a personal account within Plexler that is provided to each teacher. In the Teacher Module UI, you’ll find it in the top-left corner. It shows the teacher’s name, profile image, and the account you’re currently logged into. You’ll also see the subscription plan, which tells you what type of plan your institution has subscribed to and how many days are left on the subscription.

Editing Teacher Profile

Plexler LMS has a menu under the Teacher Module within the More section. Once you click on it, a small window appears with fields such as your name, new password, confirmation password, profile image, and more. You’ll also find the classes and subjects assigned to you in this section. Although these details are managed by the admin, you can edit the first few options, such as your name, password, and profile image.

Tools

The AI section is probably the most important part of the entire module interface. This is where you’ll spend most of your time as a teacher. Through this section, you’ll have access to more than ten AI learning tools. Tools like AI Lesson Plan, Mind Map Generator, Flashcard Creator, and Assessment Creator can all be found here. We’ll go through each tool one by one, starting with:

AI Lesson Plan

This feature of Plexler helps teachers prepare detailed, ready-to-teach lesson plans for any subject and topic.

When creating a lesson plan, you’ll be given several options. First, there’s the Board option, where you can select SEE, NEB, or other Nepali university boards such as TU, PU, or any other available board. This field is optional.

Next, you’ll see the Class dropdown. This is a mandatory field, so you’ll need to select the class you’re creating the lesson plan for.

The third field is Subject, where you can choose any subject you have access to. Once you select a subject, you can also choose a Chapter under that subject. You can then add a Topic as well, but both the chapter and topic are optional.

There are also a few more controls. You can select the Language in which you want the content to be generated. For now, Plexler supports both Nepali and English. You can also choose the Time Frame for the lesson, such as 35, 40, or 60 minutes.

You can either select the number of days yourself or let AI decide what works best for the lesson. You can create a plan for 1, 2, 3, or 4 days, and it can go up to 10 days.

Next, you’ll find the Teaching Style dropdown. Here, you can choose from options such as Lecture, Activity-Based, Discussion, Competency-Based, Project-Based, and Experiential Learning.

You can also select the Student Level based on the learners you’re teaching.

There’s also an option to tell Plexler what resources you have available. Based on those resources, the system can create a lesson plan that fits your classroom setup. You can select resources such as a blackboard, smartboard, projector, internet, worksheets, or a lab.

If you have any specific requirements, you can also add your own prompt in the text box below.

Just underneath, you’ll find your recently created lesson plans, so you can quickly access them again whenever you need them.

Once Plexler generates the lesson plan, you’ll have two options to export the complete teaching plan: PDF and DOC files.

Study Material Assistant

Through this tool, you can upload a PDF or paste your own content and generate the type of content you need in multiple formats.

It works through an upload-and-ask flow. You’ll also find two additional options here: Study Tools

and Chat With Documents.

You can upload a PDF, image, handwritten notes, book pages, or paste any text. You can then choose what you want to do with the content, or simply let AI decide what would work best for you. The file size should be under 20 MB.

You’ll also find several buttons with common instructions, such as Explain Simply, Prepare Revision Notes, Key Terms and Formulas, and Extract Questions. If you have something specific in mind, you can also type your own request in the prompt field and ask AI to work on the content accordingly.

You can view the list of documents you’ve uploaded to the system and delete them whenever needed.

The same applies to the Paste Text Here option. You can view the text you’ve added and manage it from the same section.

Mind Map

This is Plexler’s visual learning tool, designed to provide Nepali institutions with visual learning resources.

To use this tool, you need to select the Board, Class, Subject, and Chapter from the dropdowns. Once you’ve made your selections, simply click the “Generate Mind Map” button.

Once you click the button, it will take a few seconds to generate a mind map based on the topic you selected.

Once the mind map is ready, you can print it or export it in different formats. If you want to save it as an image, you can select PNG. You can also export it as a PDF or document file.

While working with the mind map, you’ll find a few useful controls, such as Drag to Pan, Scroll to Zoom, and Click a Node to Fold and Unfold.

At the bottom of the mind map, you’ll find controls that let you zoom in, collapse or expand the mind map, and fit it to the screen.

Below the mind map, you’ll also see a list of the mind maps you’ve generated previously, so you can access them again whenever you need them.

Quiz and Worksheet Generator

Teachers can use this tool to create custom exam papers, quizzes, and worksheets, while also accessing and tracking student progress.

As the title suggests, it gives you two types of outputs: Quizzes and Worksheets.

Just like with the Lesson Plan, Study Material, and Mind Map tools, you’ll first need to select a few options from the dropdowns, including the Board, Class, Subject, and Chapter.

You’ll then find six different question types that you can include in your quiz or worksheet: Multiple Choice, Fill in the Blanks, Story Problem, True/False, Short Answer, and Long Answer.

There are also additional options based on the cognitive level of the questions. You can choose from Memory-Based, Competency-Based, and Application-Based questions. You can generate up to 30 questions at a time and also select different difficulty levels.

You can upload reference documents in PDF or image format to help Plexler generate more relevant content. There’s also an instruction box where you can add your own prompts and give the AI specific instructions.

These options and settings are available for both Quizzes and Worksheets.

Question Bank features

This is another tool available in Plexler that helps provide a better learning experience.

This tool is mainly used to create questions. To get started, you can select the Board, Class, Subject, and Chapter from the available options.

You can choose between Subjective and Multiple Choice questions. You can also select the difficulty level, including Easy, Moderate, Hard, and Very Hard, and generate up to 50 questions at a time.

Once the questions are generated, you can review each one before publishing it to the Question Bank. You can mark a question as Valid or Invalid, or edit it if any changes are needed.

Assessment creation

You can create, manage, and publish assessments through this tool.

The assessment process is closely connected to the Question Bank. Questions generated and saved in the Question Bank can be selected here and then shared with students.

The tool also has an easy-to-understand interface, making it simple for teachers to create and manage class assessments.

To get started, click the blue button in the top-right corner.

When creating an assessment, you’ll need to add a title and set the validity period. You can also control the mix of question types and choose the difficulty level for the assessment questions.

Flashcards

You can also generate Flashcards through Plexler. Creating flashcards follows the same process as the other AI tools. You simply select the Board, Class, Subject, and Chapter from the available options.

Once you’ve made your selections, Plexler can generate multiple flashcards within seconds.

Teachers can create multiple decks, and each deck contains a question, answer, and hint. From the teacher’s end, you can also edit the individual cards in each deck if needed.

Once a teacher creates a flashcard deck, it becomes visible to students through their portal. Flashcards can help students with spaced repetition, making it easier to review information and retain what they’ve learned.
